What is Minoxidil? How does Rogaine work?
Minoxidil is made available by Rogaine in three ways: foam, liquid (applied via a dropper) and a gel. It is used treat male pattern baldness and female hereditary hair loss. For maximum effect, the solution should be in contact with the scalp for four hours before being washed out.
Minoxidil solution stimulates hair growth but is not used as a hair loss treatment in case of baldness due to non-hereditary factors (e.g., baldness caused by illnesses).
